Sizing isn’t standardized between manufacturers, so a 34C at one brand can fit like a 34B or 34D at another. If your size seems to “change” every time you buy from a new brand, that’s a labeling difference, not a body change.

The Menstrual Cycle Factor
Hormonal fluctuation across the menstrual cycle can temporarily increase breast size by a cup size or more for some people, usually in the week before a period. This is normal and passes on its own. It doesn’t mean your regular size was wrong.

Hormonal Triggers
Puberty, the menstrual cycle, pregnancy, breastfeeding, and menopause all involve hormonal shifts that can affect breast tissue volume and density, sometimes temporarily and sometimes more lastingly. These are the most common drivers of bra size change across a lifetime, though the timing and degree vary enormously between individuals.
Non-Hormonal Causes
Weight change (in either direction), certain medications, significant changes in exercise routine or muscle mass, and simply the natural effects of aging on tissue and skin elasticity can all shift bra size independent of hormonal cycles. Multiple factors often overlap, which is why pinpointing one single “cause” isn’t always possible or necessary.
